An event platform for finding plans nearby, buying tickets, and hosting gatherings — with a live map and AI recommendations. Designed, built, and shipped solo.

The problem
From discovery to entry
Finding an event is only the start. People need a way to buy tickets, and hosts need tools to manage entry.
The decision
Give each ticket its own identity
I connected the SwiftUI app to serverless ticketing on AWS: Stripe checkout, a QR code per ticket, and atomic check-in. The map and host tools share the same ticketing flow.
The result
One shipped product
Chartd is live in 20 U.S. cities, with event discovery, ticket sales, and host tools in one iOS app — designed, built, and shipped solo.
Engineering scope: about 150,000 lines of iOS code and about 550,000 across iOS, backend, Android, and the website.

About
Hey, I’m Caleb.
I’m a freelance iOS developer and founder who has been designing and shipping App Store apps since 2015. I build the whole product: the SwiftUI front end, the AWS and Supabase backend, the Stripe payments, and the AI in between.
I’m the co-founder and lead engineer of Chartd, a two-sided event platform live in 20 U.S. cities — and I’m currently porting it to Android in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. Alongside my own products I take on freelance builds end to end, and I’m completing a B.S. in Software Engineering.
